I have worked with Bjorn Behrendt since the summer of 2002 in his role as a systems technician for the ACSU Central Office. BJ’s knowledge of technology is very comprehensive; he administers the Bridport Central school district’s 2003 server, and has experience maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems for Middlebury Union Middle School, Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center (PHCC) and Mary Hogan. He has excellent troubleshooting skills and enjoys challenging network issues.

He works with a wide-variety of software packages geared towards professional and educational use including Dreamweaver and Contribute, Microsoft Office, SASIxp, and the BESS internet filter. He assists teachers and students in the schools where he is assigned as well as pinch-hitting at other schools around the district as needed. He is supportive of teaching and learning.

He also has experience in the area of training and has provided adult education to his colleagues as well as in the evenings through the PHCC. He communicates effectively and purposefully with my office and is professional in his interactions with teachers, administrators, parents and other stakeholders.
